1. Nature of the information
The content of this site is general and informational. It does not constitute legal, notarial, accounting, tax, immigration or investment advice for a specific case, and must not be used as a substitute for individualised professional consultation.
References to timelines, costs, requirements, returns or market conditions are estimates subject to regulatory change and to the verification of each file.
2. No automatic attorney-client relationship
Submitting a form, downloading a guide, messaging by WhatsApp or booking a consultation does not in itself create a professional relationship. The relationship is formalised only when FG confirms acceptance of the engagement in writing, after completing due diligence and conflict-of-interest checks.
FG may decline an engagement without stating reasons, in particular where due diligence is not satisfactory.
3. Regulatory framework and escrow services
FG is not a bank or a financial institution, does not perform financial intermediation and does not take deposits from the public. Its third-party fund administration activity is registered with SUGEF as a Designated Non-Financial Business and Profession under Law 7786; that registration is for compliance registration and monitoring purposes and does not imply prudential supervision, guarantee or endorsement of the transactions.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site for unlawful or fraudulent purposes or in ways that infringe third-party rights.
- Do not submit false information, impersonate others or send third-party data without a legal basis.
- Do not attempt to breach security, automate bulk form submissions or systematically scrape data.
- Site content, trademarks and materials belong to FG and may not be reproduced commercially without written authorisation.
5. Consultations, scheduling and payments
Bookings are additionally governed by the Payments & Cancellations Policy. Times shown are in Costa Rica time (UTC−6) and a booking is confirmed only once payment is credited and validated.
6. No guarantee of outcome
FG provides professional services with due diligence and in line with applicable legal practice, but does not guarantee any particular legal outcome, nor the approval of administrative or immigration procedures, nor the closing of a transaction, nor any performance, return or timeframe. Time estimates depend on third parties, authorities and registries outside FG's control.
7. Professional confidentiality
Information you share within an engagement is handled with the professional confidentiality required by law and by the engagement itself, subject to the exceptions imposed by applicable rules, including anti-money-laundering regulations. The public forms on this site are not a secure channel for sending sensitive documents or information: please wait for FG to indicate the appropriate means.
8. Precedence of the services agreement
In the event of a discrepancy, the engagement letter or services agreement signed with FG prevails over these terms in respect of that specific engagement. Nothing herein waives mandatory rights granted to the user or consumer by applicable law.
9. Links and limitation of liability
The site may link to third-party resources over which FG exercises no control and assumes no responsibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FG is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit arising from use of the published information; liability for services actually engaged is governed by the corresponding services agreement.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica and submitted to its competent courts. FG may update them; the version in force is the one published on this page.
