Actual scope of the registration
What the registration DOES cover
- The SUGEF registration is strictly limited to anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing matters, under Law 7786, its regulations and related rules.
- As a regulated obligor, we implement KYC/AML policies, ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) identification, source-of-funds verification, segregated accounts, transaction monitoring and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when applicable.
What the registration does NOT imply
- The SUGEF registration does not constitute an authorization to operate and does not make FG a supervised financial entity.
- FG does not engage in financial intermediation: we do not take deposits from the public, do not extend credit and do not provide banking services.
- Escrow services are delivered as a fiduciary activity of the law firm. Clients engage these services at their own account and risk.
